What are the different types of Pokémon cards?

There are three different types of cards you will find in a deck of Pokemon Cards:

  1. Character Cards: Each Pokemon card you purchase belongs to a particular type such as Fire, Water, Psychic, Normal or Dragon. How much energy your card holds is entirely dependent on how evolved it is – basic form, Stage One form or Stage Two form. Legendary pokemon cards are the most powerful cards in the entire range and mostly a much-needed desire for any kid. They only found in booster packs.
  2. Energy Cards: The Energy Cards boosts your other pokemon card’s energy from time to time throughout the game. You will find energy cards in almost any pack of pokemon cards you buy. There are also few special energy cards which provide special power to your card, depending on the type of card you have.
  3. Trainer Cards: Trainer cards are those cards you use for supporters and stadiums you can opt for during the battle. The rules of these cards are indicated at the bottom.

How to keep and store Pokemon cards?

Pokemon cards should be stored safely with binders and card sleeves specially made for storing cards (especially the rare ones).

Generally, a 2-3 inch binder is recommended because it can hold enough cards while being not too heavy to carry around. If you or your kid have just started to collect Pokemon cards, I suggest you buy an extra binder because you won’t believe how fast the collection grows!

Just in case you want to make it even better, there are Pokemon themed binders which have padded binder pages to keep your cards safe.

As the collection grows, you can add extra binder pages to your binder and store more cards in the same binder saving you some money (which you can spend to buy Pokemon cards instead!)

Do you own an extremely rare Pokemon card? Well, in that case, I recommend using hard case sleeves to keep them extra secure.

    • Surely It would be a great addition. Definitely will do that in my next update. Lycanrock is good secondary attacker if you’re willing to make room for Fighting energy.
