I experienced the awesomeness of racing wheels a couple of years ago when I was at an eSports event in NY and played Forza Horizon with my hands on the Logitech G920 steering wheel.
It was mind-blowing and felt almost like driving a real car; thanks to the amazing force feedback response, precision and the feel of it! And, that’s when I decided ‘Dude, I need these!’ Even today, I am using the Logitech G920 and they are clearly one of the best Xbox one steering wheels available in the market in 2024.

The Logitech G920 Driving Force is definitely my top choice here and that’s not because this was my first xbox one steering wheel. Actually, Logitech specifically designed G920 Driving Force for Xbox to deliver ultimate performance in games like Project Cars 2, Forza etc.
On the outside, its classy and gives a premium feel with hand-stitched leather and brushed metal finish. Its pretty much comfortable to hold and buttons are placed well in proximity for gaming.
While, on the inside, it is a complete beast having dual-motor force feedback, helical gearing for smooth handling and 900-degree rotation.
What I like the most is exemplary force feedback – neither too easy nor too real – just tuned enough to give you an immersive racing experience while you steer at sharp curves or tackle the cars in a close pack. Unlike the Fanatec’s that are too real to handle (even gave me wrist cramps in a few hours).
Talking about the foot pedal unit, its a complete with three pedals and stick shift which is an add-on and not included in the box. I have seen people complaining about brake pedal, but mine worked absolutely great!
Overall, its a great steering wheel for Xbox one and costs little over 250 dollars on Amazon. If you want to add a stick shifter too, you have to shell out 300 dollars for the complete setup which is a good bargain looking at the performance and quality.

Thrustmaster has been manufacturing great gaming gear and the Thrustmaster VG TX racing wheel is also one of them. This elite class steering wheel comes with a plethora of features as well as a hefty price tag attached to it. So, if you’re tight on budget, skip this one and check out the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 steering wheel.
For those passionate gamers who are ready to spend a fortune to buy the best Xbox one steering wheel, the Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition racing wheel is one hot pick!
It has got a powerful TX Servo base for real-like force feedback and seamless steering simulation. For testing it, I played Asseto Corsa and I could feel every single vibration – from the car suspension to the bumps on the road.
The wheel feels comfortable to hold with premium quality hand-stitched leather and has a rotation angle of 900 degrees. Though there are 13 buttons, I do not like their placement especially the thumb buttons.
The TP3A pedal unit comes with three pedals and a black plastic footrest. The pedals respond perfectly but the unit tends to move on the floor; so I would suggest mounting it on a cockpit gaming chair or with something firm and solid. Apart from that, everything else works like charm and guarantees a mind-blowing racing experience.

Remember I said in the beginning that its possible to buy xbox one steering wheel without burning a hole in your pockets. Well, I was referring to the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 – one of the most popular and affordable xbox one steering wheel in the market today!
Actually, it is a 7/10 replica of Ferrari 458 Spider’s wheel complete with official Ferrari branding and Red textured rubber grips. There are 9 action buttons, two paddle shifters, a D-pad and a couple of other buttons mounted on the wheel. So, it’s a complete package!
But before you get too excited, let me tell you it is a budget steering wheel for Xbox one and lacks a few advanced features and that is Force feedback.
Instead, it uses the Thrustmaster’s patented bungee cord mechanism which works a little differently. To attempt a real car-like turning effect, this mechanism makes it harder to turn the more you turn. It is also not that precise but it is still fun to play Forza with these.
If you are beginning your sim racing journey and cannot spend too much, Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 can save the day for you. It was surprising even for me to get a sub-100-dollar deal on Amazon for this racing wheel.

Buddy, if you have all the money in the world to splurge, dont think twice and buy the Fanatec CSL Elite Steering wheel for Xbox one. Why? Because it is without a doubt the best xbox one steering wheel on the block but it so expensive too!
It has got all that you’ll ever want in a sim racing wheel for Xbox One. The steering wheel offers a nice comfortable grip and it is modular too, so you can change it according to your choice (but its so good that you won’t).
With the help of brushless servo and single belt drive, it offers incredibly smooth and superfast Force feedback effect combined with instant acceleration.
Believe me, while playing GTA5 with these, it started to feel extremely real as I drove through the city. Too much fun! There’s a small display called Rev Stripe on the wheel itself that displays data and also it can be used to customize various parameters on the fly.
The pedal unit is also quite solid and made completely with metal. The response is precise, depth travel is perfect and pedals works exactly the way you would expect right out of the box.
I can go on and on about this Xbox one steering wheel, so if you want to spend over 400 dollars, Fanatec CSL Elite should be your choice!
5. Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel

- 12 Buttons
- Not so sturdy
Once again, I have one more recommendation for Thrustmaster and its a mid range xbox one racing wheel with force feedback – its the Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel.
Basically, Thrustmaster tries to give you the best of both worlds with this Xbox one steering wheel. The Thrustmaster TMX does no compromise with the force feedback but somehow the cost is cut down to around 150 dollars which is largely affordable.
You can absolutely enjoy the forces pushing and pulling while you steer through those sharp turns in F1 2018 which is great to experience at this cost. The quality of servo is not the top-notch still it does its work neat to an extent.
The wheel has 12 buttons mounted on it and has an okayish rubber grip that avoids hands from slipping. But again, the layout is similar to that of Leather Edition and has the same problem of proximity for thumbs.
What I don’t like about this one is the pedal unit. It has two pedals, feels plasticky and still sold separately. Though it’s not the best pedal unit, still its far better than the pushing the buttons on your controller.
Overall, it is safe to say that its the cheapest Xbox one steering wheel with force feedback. Check out its current price on Amazon now!
6. Hori Racing Wheel for Xbox One

The last one that I want to recommend is the Hori Overdrive Racing Wheel – another Xbox one steering wheel under $100. It is a beginner level steering wheel for those who are just getting simulator racing games.
Coming at a price tag which is almost half of the likes of Logitech G920, the HORI Overdrive offers a full-sized steering wheel with pedals. It supports a 270-degree rotation and the output can be adjusted according to personal preference.
The only deal breaker here for serious gamers is the absence of force feedback (yeah, I know the feeling). But, on the brighter side, the wheel has a comfy feel to it and comes with a good layout of buttons. In fact, there are two smartly placed assignable buttons on the steering itself which are very easy to press with thumbs.
For all those arcade lovers, there’s quick handling mode which allows you to switch to 180-degree rotation instead of the complete 270-degree rotation. It proves quite handy during Arcade racing!
The foot pedestal has two pedals with customizable sensitivity and retractable footrest. All that coming at a price of lesser than 100 bucks is clearly a great deal!
Why buy Xbox One Steering Wheel?
A question that has been repeatedly asked on various gaming forums on the internet today is whether it is wise to invest in an expensive steering wheel when one can simply choose a good Xbox one controller to play their favorite racing games.
My Answer is You should if You can. See, it is definitely not wise to invest 200 bucks into a racing wheel for Xbox one when you don’t have the money to pay your bills.
